About Vinyl Flooring

Vinyl floors are composed of three layers: a sturdy core at the base, a highly detailed image layer replicating different looks and designs, and a resilient, waterproof protective topcoat.

Vinyl is a modern flooring option that offers the aesthetic appeal of hardwood, stone, or tile, but with enhanced durability and practicality.  Its realistic visuals, coupled with easy installation and maintenance, have made LVP an increasingly popular choice for residential and commercial spaces.

There are three types of Luxury vinyl floors: LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) , LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) and Vinyl Sheets made from multiple layers of synthetic materials. LVP typically mimics the look of hardwood flooring, while LVT replicates the appearance of natural stone or ceramic tile.

Frequently Asked Questions

What our clients say...

How do I clean LVP?

Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) can be cleaned with most household cleaners.  Since luxury vinyl is waterproof, you can mop it with a damp mop.  The best option is to use 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water. Be careful not flood your floor and allow the water to seep beneath your flooring.

Our selection of Luxury vinyl ranges in thickness from 4.5 mm up to as thick as 12 mm.  The main advantage to thicker LVP is more stability making it less likely to pop loose from neighboring planks.

No, Luxury vinyl is man made and cannot be refinished or resurfaced for that matter.  The product that you buy and install has to last until you change floors in the future.

LVP should be installed by a professional flooring installer or skilled DIYer.  In the event that you try it for yourself, please read the installation instructions provided with your flooring. It can be installed as a floating floor, meaning the planks or tiles are not glued down but instead click or lock together securely.

Yes, LVP/LVT is suitable for almost any room in the home, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and high-traffic areas. Its water resistance and durability make it an excellent choice for areas prone to moisture or heavy use.

Luxury Vinyl Plank /Tile is a waterproof flooring made of vinyl, known as luxury vinyl. The flooring industry uses the initials LVT for vinyl that looks like tile or LVP for vinyl that looks like wood planks. For LVP the vinyl is cut into planks, just as a hardwood flooring would be. The widths and lengths vary depending upon the manufacturer, but most times are 5″-9″ wide and 48″-72″ long. LVT is imprinted with a high-definition picture that resembles tile or wood flooring.

LVP/LVT flooring offers several advantages, including durability, water resistance, easy maintenance, and affordability compared to traditional flooring options like hardwood or stone.
